We had a plastic body on our kid kart and it worked just fine until they allowed the kids to run full size tires - then we had to hack on the wheel well to fit larger RF tire under it.I remember his noses were prob close to 1/4” - 3/8” thick. Seems like I remember him suggesting people use rubber seat washers between the body and kart when mounting for flex. I could be wrong on that though. I am gonna measure the thickness today to see if it is an areotech. That would be cool if it is. 1.The main reason I went back to using a wedge body was so I could use 1/4" thick plastic side panels, which hold up much better and longer than the thin fiberglass side panels that most body's on the market use.
